I have found thoughout my life writing helps calm me. I have been known to write for days without a break but when I am done I am calm. There are pages and pages of writing whether it be my feelings or just my imagination but I am good then.

I think you are right about writing being calming. I have "journaled" for a long time now. I have notebooks full of writings that I use as therapy for myself to help me deal with various life stresses. It helps to write my feelings down and to release them. I feel better after I let it all go...even on paper.
