No, I have never tried to grow a banana plant and just figured that the temperatures where we live were not warm enough. I do have a small greenhouse so I may try to start one there next spring. It would be really neat if we were able to grow one and get a few of our own bananas...my kids would love trying anyway.

Sounds very difficult
I'd love a banana tree though. My son eats one EVERY day!
