Default Home Remedy for Bug Bites

The sulfur in onions neutralizes the chemicals that cause the itch from bug bites. Slice a yellow onion in half and rub one of the cut sides on the bite. The itching should stop immediately. If the itching resumes, make a fresh slice before reapplying it to the bite.

Do you know any other natural remedies for bug bites?

Very interesting!! Thanks for sharing. We will have to try that. We have plenty of bug bites around here with 2 outside boys.

An old home remedy for bites and stings is to put tobacco on it. It helps the swelling go down too.
