Default Home Remedy For Cuts

Prick a vitamin E capsule with a sterile needle and squeeze the oil onto your cut at least three times a day. Cover it with a Band-Aid if it is a serious wound. Research shows natural vitamin E (d-alpha tocopherol) has more antioxidant power than synthetic vitamin E.

Do you have any other home remedies for cuts?

Our ENT told us to do just that after our 5 year old had a cyst removed. We applied the vitamin E to the incision site at least twice a day. Now, a year and a half later, his scar is barely visible. My relatives have a hard time finding it. They say that the scar is gone. I guess I just know where to look. Oh, by the way, it healed really quickly as well.

Calendula (marigold) has strong healing powers. It is good for cuts, scratches, and also for minor burns. There is a calendula-based gel that you can buy, but I can't remember its name.
