Default Make Your Own Sun Burn Spray

I ran across a recipe for making your own sunburn spray and wanted to share. It really does work too. So if you have spent a little too much time in the sun this can help and it can be kept in the fridge for an extra cooling sensation.

What you need:

1 Spritzer Bottle

INGREDIENTS:

1 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
1/2 cup Aloe Vera juice
1/2 Teaspoon Lavender Essential Oil
1 Teaspoon Vitamin E

Mix all ingredients in the spritzer bottle and shake well. Shake before using and this will help speed healing it can be used quite often but from experience I know as with almost any essential oil use it in a well ventilated area and keep away from the eyes .

Thanks for sharing. Although the vinagar part makes me a little nervous. I feel like that would sting. Oouch! Worth a try though, Thanks!

Default Sunburn Spray

Here's another sunburn spray recipe:

1.5 ounces of purified water
1/2 tsp. of vodka
1 TBSP aloe vera gel
50 drops lavender oil*

Combine all ingredients in a 2 ounce spritzer bottle. Shake before each use. Keep it in the refrigerator for a cooling effect.

*It is said that lavender oil may accelerate the rate at which skin repairs itself, and it lessens the pain and heat of sunburn.
